Each pawstep was carefully planned out, every breath taken quietly or not taken at all. High stakes, low chances. It was all or nothing....

Voyde leapt without a sound, her powerfull legs rippling as she launched from the ground. Blood pumped in her ears, adrinaline rushing through every vein of her body. The frantic squawk of the huge bird was nearly ear-spliting, but she was too excited to feel fear. But unlike she had expected, the bird hadn't tried to fly away. It crouched low, bracing itself for attack. The falcon was ready for her, but Voyde would give it all she had. Caterwauling a feirce battle cry, her claws unsheathed, the loner leapt on the avain beast, slashing at it's neck. Blood and feathers splashed all over her form, sticking to her pelt like glue. The bird slashed at her face, aiming for her eyes. Closing them quickly, the talons raked her face, causing her to yowl in pain. Opening her eyes again, her face bleeding, she leapt on the bird's body.
Biting deep into it's neck, it squawked in fury. Writhing to get free, it began to tire and weaken from it's loss of blood. It relaxed, slowly it's muscles were no longer tensing. Every part of it was dying, except for it's eyes. The golden splendor was bright, as it stared deeply into Voyde's blue optics, seeming to honor her victory over itself. The beat of it's heart haulted, and only it's eyes were the only thing alive about it now. Even though it was gone, the golden orbs seemed so... living. Her wounded face looking down at her latest prey, she bent over it, taking a large bite from it's chest, chewing the meat slowly, enjoying it.
