A glimpse of silver fur flashed in the morning light as dawn was casting shadows all over camp. The air was crisp and cold but refreshing at the same time. Two misted green pools dimed and brighted with each blink as she closed her eyes leting the cold air fill her lungs with each breath. Her thin and barely noticible tabby marks showed every now and then when she moved, her bushy tail sleek and glossy as always. Mistpaw let out a very soft giggle but not loud enough to wake any one else up. Arching her back in a silent strech she took off bounding out of camp. Her green and gold speckled eyes gleamed with excitement for adventure. She stoped just outside camp shifting to each paw eager to release her burst of energy that conjured up while sleeping. The picture of a waterfall appeared in her mind as she ran off towards the rocky cliffs. Brushing her way through a few bushes she made her way onto the rocky slope. The roar of the falls ringing in her ears her paws scarmbling to keep hold of the slippery slope. As she draged herself to the top she watched the pulsing water falling into a rippled pool. Poking her head over the side she saw the mist that drifted off it and the few sharp rocks at the bottom. She gulped as her ears flattened on her skull she woudnt want to fall in thats for sure. Her left ear pricked at the sound of moving pebbles, turning her head in that direction til a bird flew out from a tree nearby. Mistpaw jumped in shock at the birds sudden entrence o the waterfall area that her hind paws sliped over the edge as she landed. Her forepaws scrambling to pull her body up, though the mist off the waterfall clung to her silver pelt. Her claws scraped the earth as her eyes were wide with terror. "Help!" she called pitifully as she tryed pushing herself up with her hind paws but they soon gave way and she was danggling over the edge again. She breathed heavly trying desperatly to pull herself up Starclan help me!.

"Help!" At that yowl, pallid lobes shot up, and Snowstorm immediately lifted her cranium from the herbs she was collecting. A pitiful yowl it was, so the owner of the voice was certainly in danger. Leaving the collected herbs, she twisted her figure around extremely swiftly, before landing on all fours, and then her fore paws pushed her weight upon landing, allowing her a head start in a dash. Despite the mist drifting everywhere, she sliced through the atmosphere, before suddenly halting at the edge of the falls. A figure was dangling desperately to the rocks; barely needing a second to gain information, she immediately launched herself onto that ledge, her claws unsheathed to dig firmly into the rocks' surface so she wouldn't slip. The mist caused her vision to be somewhat blurry and foggy, but she ignored that, partly parting her jowls and swiftly grabbing the cat's scruff. Claws slightly sinking into the stones, she pulled the cat up from the treacherous position, before launching herself a few tail-lengths away from the ledge. Only then she released the cat's scruff and stepped back. The scent and appearance of the cat now began to grow clear; it was Mistpaw. She hindered herself from scolding the apprentice, and she took a breath. Her expression emotionless like usual, she turned her back to the apprentice, flicking her tail in signal to follow. But when the sound of a few pebbles shifting drifted onto her eardrums, she immediately glanced into the sky, where a few birds took off in a panic-stricken fashion. That spine chilling screech, the flash of ebony fur. Remaining eerily calm, she allowed the Tasmanian Devil to make its entrance, before she whipped around to face the apprentice. "Go...," she murmured, before somewhat butting the apprentice's back with her muzzle to get the younger cat going; it was then that she launched herself over the apprentice, landing in front of the cat, before taking swift paw-steps away from the charge-preparing Tasmanian Devil.

Mistpaw dug her claws into the stone earth her eyes closed as she thought she fall to her doom if she looked down at the crashing falls. Feeling her paws slip slowly she bit on her lower lip, as her paws neared the edge. She suddenly felt her small body be lifted her green/ gold speckled optics slowly opened. It was still a bit foggy so she couldnt tell who had helped her. She soon felt her paws on solid ground again, she panted lightly still dazed by what just happened to her. Lifting her muzzle just above her she noticed Snowstorm the medicine cat looming over her. She blinked kindly "Thankyou Snowstorm." she murmered til the she-cat turned her head towards flying birds. Mistpaws ears flattened as she watched them fly over, til a large shape lumbered into the area. She help a gasp it was a tasmanian devil, before she could do anything Snowstorm told her to go and gently butted her away. She scrambled to her paws and slowly made her way down the slippery slope. Following Snowstorm away from the angered animal, few pebbles fell from benieth her paws as she sliped a little trying to hurry back down the slope.

The fur upon her spine somewhat bristled, feeling the fury of the Tasmanian Devil radiate from it; then that bone-chilling screech. Her heart rate remained usual, however, thanks to her calm, collected nature. As they reached the edge of the misted stones, Snowstorm thought it was almost safe. To make her stand corrected, a pair of stones that she chose to step on crumbled away, causing her to slip to the side. Slamming onto the ground, hard, she immediately scrambled, amazingly calmly, back onto her paws, before somewhat shaking herself. She glanced back at the apprentice, before she turned around, without even mouthing any words, and began to pad to the edge of the mist-moistened stones. When they reached where her collected herbs were, she paused, and then grasped them into her jowls. She glanced back at the apprentice, wondering if the apprentice wanted to go anywhere, or perhaps even train; she knew most of the things an apprentice needed to know... But she snapped from those thoughts at the loud screech of the Tasmanian Devil, and it was growing nearer! Remaining calm like always, she placed her herbs down, before launching over the apprentice and unsheathing her claws upon landing. ".. Grab the herbs and get to a safe place..," she murmured, not even glancing at the apprentice. Once the Tasmanian Devil barged out of the mist, she lashed out, goring its nose and cheeks before she launched herself backward, rearing up and lashing once more.

The small she-cat relaxed a little as her paws reached the edge of slope then onto more even grounds. Snowstorm had already jumped down there her eyes widened as the medicine cat sliped. As she jumped to help but missed her by an inch but she seemed ok so she hurried to her side. The screetch of the creature made her shiver and cringe, she almost didnt hear Snowstorms directions. She opened her mouth to protest but ran grabing the herbs in her mouth. She turned back seeing the brave medicine cat fighting off the tasmanian devil. Runing more into the woodish area she set the herbs down carefully by the tree. Turning she raced back her silver fur gleaming at her speed in the light. "I wont leave you Snowstorm!" she yowled this apprentice was not one to back down from a fight and she would not leave her clanmate behind to get hurt or worse. Hissing she leapt onto the larger animals back raking her claws along its back furiously feeling its blood oooze through her claws. It reared up angrily and she jumped off to stand by Snowstorms side. Her claws unshealthed ready for a battle the animal if needed.

"I wont leave you Snowstorm!" Her optics snapped to their corners at that yowl, and she nearly lost concentration of the battle. It was when the screech of the Tasmanian Devil battered her lobes that she snapped back into battle, lashing out swiftly to make it think twice before attempting to bite her. Its bite missed, and she paused as the apprentice raked its back, before launching back to her side. As the Tasmanian Devil yowled furiously, she coiled her muscles. "Go for its sides....," she murmured, before launching herself at its stomach as it reared up. Raking her claws down its stomach, she launched herself backward, barely dodging a snap of its jaws as it landed back on all fours. She could see those rage-filled eyes blazing into her fur, and she matched its orbs with the fierce, cold flame that told it to back off and leave. But like she guessed, it ignored her warning completely, charging straight at her and ignoring the apprentice. She lashed out again, only to scrape its face without making it flinch nor pause. It was a moment later that she felt an impact on her neck, and she was thrown to the side. Immediately rolling onto her paws, she barely avoided another bite. She lashed out again, and then launched herself backward as it paused.

Mistpaw managed to nod as a pair of teeth snaped inches away from her mussle. She was busy dodging its attack using full defense and Snowstorm did offense. Her eyes widened as her heart beated rapidly as Snowstorm was knocked down and barly moved in time to not meet its jaws. Shaking her head from the daze onces it paused she attack lauching herself at its side tearing into its left side hissing angrily. It turned she barly duck out of the way not to get hit. Sliding underneath it she made her way to the other side and sliced through its fur feeling the blood splatter on her silver muzzle. The creature backed away blood pouring from everywhere leaving pools of scarlet blood below it. It turned and fled it must have realised that it was not going to win against the two cats. Mistpaw panted her pads bleeding and scraped from the slope. She gritted her teeth at the stinging pain she hadnt realised it during the fight.

Only watching as the apprentice took care of the Tasmanian Devil, Snowstorm padded over to the herbs, grasping them and returning to the scene to find the apprentice's pads scraped and bleeding. Thankfully, she had yarrow contained within her collected herbs at the moment. Padding over to the apprentice, she placed the herbs down and then picked out a few yarrow leaves, before chewing them into a poultice. With that completed, she paused and spoke, "Lift your pads for me to see them," she murmured.

Mistpaw saw as Snowstorm headed back for her herbs, hopefully she knew where she had set them. Making her way down the rest of the slope she sat down at its bottom lifting her paws she drew her tounge over it in gentle strokes. It still stung at her touch, the taste of it was yucky and sticky but she didnt want infection. She lifted the other paws and started cleaning it out as well til Snowstorm came back towards her, the herbs rested in her jaws. Her lilypad eyes softened as the medicine cat spoke and she lifted her front to paws for her to inspect them. She looked at the juice of yarrow and sighed "Will it hurt?" she asked calmly.

"Will it hurt?" Snowstorm slightly flicked her lobes. "Depends on how strong you believe you are," she murmured, before placing the poultice onto the damaged pads of the apprentice. When she was finished, she padded slightly closer to the mist-soaked pebbles that were at the edge of the mist. Wiping the excess poultice from her paws and jowls, she soon turned around and padded delicately back to the apprentice. "Shall we return to Camp..," she asked in a murmur.
(( Wow, I suck.. ))

((tis ok, i do to lol ^^ )) Mistpaw felt it sting a little but held back any tears or sign of pain. Taking deep breaths she let herself relax a bit. Her soft lilypad grren pools turned to watch the medicine cat as she washed off her paws. Geting onto her own paws she shook her pelt swiping her tounge over her chest a few times til the she-cat came back. Looking up as she she spoke, she nodded "Sure." she mewed walking slowly back to camp. Her ears pricked at a thought as she turned to look at snowstorm her lips parted to speak "Do you need help carrying your herbs?" she asked, flashing her a warm smile.

A short moment after they started off, Snowstorm allowed her optics to widen to near normal size, rather than barely more than slits. "Do you need help carrying your herbs?" She gave the apprentice a slight shake of her head, but then spoke, "Unless you want to help me collect all the herbs I need in one trip..," she murmured, around the herbs in her jowls. She padded a few steps forward, to stand beside the apprentice. Glancing down upon the apprentice, she swiftly searched her mind for the remaining herbs the Clan required, which was pretty much most of the herbs that she used. She stifled a faint sigh, and she glanced over her shoulder, as if looking for more herbs, but then she glanced back in front of them. As she glanced through the corner of her orbs, a message within them was clear; "Your choice."

Mistpaw blinked kindly as she thought about how the medicine cat had helped save her very life. It was the least she could do right? help her get the herbs she needed.Plus the herbs they collect could help save one of her clanmates lifes, like Skatepaw or Electricpaw or even herself. "Sure, ill help you get all the herbs you need." she replied shaking her silver pelt of a cold chill her thin tabby marks glistened in the patches of light that touched her pelt. Looking up she watched as they passed trees and bushes, leting her mind wonder a bit at what had happend today. But her ears were pricked for any voice from the older she-cat so she could tell her if there was any herb she should know about or if she needed help geting it. Her misted green pools shifted to the small blades of grass and plants that were growing near the roots. Streaching out her hind legs she caught up to Snowstorm.

For a few more moments, Snowstorm continued to search for the herbs that the Clan still needed. She then ran over the names of the herbs she had already collected. "I'll need some cobwebs, poppy seeds, juniper berries...," she murmured, before pausing and glancing back at the apprentice. She desired for the younger cat to collect those herbs, before going to collect a few more. Slowly, but surely, they'd collect all the herbs they needed.
(( Blech, no muse at all. ))
